With anthill, hamburgers on ramen, octopus sandwich and Korean hot dog, the biggest street food festival in the world returns to SP
Created in New York, the Smorgasburgthe largest festival of street food of the world returned to Brazil. The event takes place this weekend, July 23 and 24, at the Obelisco do Ibirapuera, from 11:30 to 19:30, with the support of the Secretary of Tourism and the Secretary of Culture of the City of Sao Paulo
Among the outstanding operations is the Formiga Iça Farofa, a delicacy based on ant tanajura by Trempe Restaurante. JK Gastronomia will bring to the event a different proposal for hot dog lovers: the Corn doga Korean hotdog, breaded in cornmeal and french fries.
For those who prefer seafood, Notorious Fish presents the Choripolvo, octopus tentacle sandwich on plate with chimichurri, aioli, served on French baguette. Always with the seafood gastronomy, the Salmon burger on breaded rice bread, with cream cheese and chives, from Mygati Food Truck, is also confirmed.
Who went to the first Brazilian edition of the festival, in 2019, and fell in love with it ramen burger, created by Vinil Burger specifically for Smorgasburg, cannot miss the delicious sandwich that replaces the traditional hamburger bun with ramen, a replica of the famous snack available at the New York fair. In addition, another classic of the festival in Brazil that will return is Mc Bomb, a breaded Mac’n Cheese produced by chef Adolpho Schaefer of the Holy Pasta Food Truck.
Innovations also appear among drinks. Café Blends Do Brasil (CBD) presents the first sensory coffee in the country, mixing specialty beans with blends of natural ingredients, functional herbs and cannabis-identical terpenes. The Somm wine, which brings the innovation of can packaging, was also confirmed at the festival. The official Smorgasburg beer in Brazil is Stella Artois.
To top it off, Smorgasburg will also offer several dessert options. or Fried Oreo is a typical French choux pastry filled with the popular Oreo biscuit, by Mr Cheesecake SP.
The second Brazilian edition of the event will have more than one hundred operations, between food and drinks, with many gastronomic innovations that, in addition to flavor, promise to produce beautiful photos. But the festival goes beyond gastronomy and features a lineup of new jazz, folk and reggae artists who perform at the beer garden, so audiences can enjoy the whole day of the party.
