Inspired by his own story, the mentor of the leaders Thirza Reis announces a new book, aimed at tired women
Silent exhaustion, fault masked by productivity and constant pressure to manage everything.
These are increasingly common symptoms among women who, even surrounded by modern tools, follow emotionally that it falls ill in a routine that requires more than body and mind can support. It was from this place – intimate, real and lived on the skin – was born As soon as!The new book of the psychologist and mentor of leaders Thirza Reis.
In the work, it does not propose a magical formula, but a courageous break. A meeting with the truth itself. With a welcoming and rooted writing in his clinical experience, Thirza invites readers to rethink what really matters, offering reflections and practical tools for those who are looking for a life with less pressure and more presence.
In this exclusive interview, Thirza speaks of the signs of emotional overload, the importance of learning to say “no” and how self -knowledge can be a powerful antidote against the culture of exhaustion.
What motivated you to write a book especially for people who feel overwhelmed?
“My motivation was born from a very intimate and real place: the exhaustion that I experienced myself – and that I saw repeated in so many women I attend. Strong, intelligent and committed women … who were literally crumbled trying to manage everything. I wanted to offer something that was no longer a productivity manual, but an invitation to reflect and the Restart. And you don’t have to follow this rhythm. As soon as! -S with the desire to be a neck book and a call at the same time. “
What are the main signs that someone lives in a constant state of emotional or mental overload?
“There are so many – and sometimes very thin. Wake up tired even after sleeping all night. You feel that it is always due, always late, even when it does everything. Explode to those who love and then blame. Cry Hidden in the car. Worse, we learn to find all this normal.
The book brings practical tools for everyday life. Can you tell us some of someone of them?
“Yes, different! Each chapter ends with an invitation to a practical exercise. One of the tools that most of the readers are the exercise of the car -car of car -in it, we look at all the spheres of life and identify what, in fact, is a priority -and what is transported by fear, fault or custom. It helps to put more and slightly putting the issues.
Why today so many people – in particular women – feel overwhelmed, even with so many support resources available?
“Because overload is not only a matter of time, but culture. We have been taught to measure us by offering, perfection, constant availability, to give priority to everything and everyone and, also with applications, external help or support networks, what continues to press this mentality that we cannot fail, we must manage everything – smiling. As soon as! It proposes exactly this deconstruction: to get out of the logic of Wonder Woman and enter the logic of the whole, real and authentic woman in which we already find ourselves, but we must give ourselves the opportunity to recognize and welcome. “
Do you think you learn to say “no” is one of the keys to relieve overload? How is it treated in the book?
“Yes, without a doubt. To say” no “clearly and without fault is an act of care – with you and the others. In the book, I speak very much: how the automatic” yes “is often a reflection of the fear of refusal or guilt – a deal for affection. I speak of the importance of putting the clear boundaries and explain, in a very simple way, which is then proposed of small jobs. With respect and empathy – we must all normalize. “No” is not selfish.
How does the book balance psychological theory and language accessible to reach readers who are not in the area?
“This was a cure that I had from the beginning: transforming deep concepts of psychology – such as car -vita, shame, emotional exhaustion and empathy – in a language that welcomes, which goes through. I use metaphors, real stories and people I followed on this journey as a psychologist and mentor and many reflective questions. Feeling, reflecting and applying with the heart in practical life.”
What is the main message you expect the readers to bring with them when you finish reading?
“The main message is: you don’t have to run to be precious and you can do well to life in your life. Exactly: adaptation is an acronym that I created to underline a path that the reader can follow to build a life more sense for her, not having to exhaust – not having to exhaust – not having to have to, remembering that her strength is not in accordance with the courage to choose what really matters.
