Women: Only 56% feel professionally accomplished

It is a never-ending movement: women are gaining more and more space in the corporate world, even if in many cases they have to face a double daily work day. According to the PNAD (National Household Sample Survey), the level of female employment in the number of employees reached 45.7%.

This is underlined by a new study 74% of women are proud of the company they work for and they believe they can grow and develop professionally. On the other hand, only 56% feel accomplished at work.

This new study is the result of a partnership between the Toda Group, the first edtech in Latin America entirely dedicated to women, with the support of Viviane Leite, a wellness specialist, and the research consultancy Inside Consumer Insights. The survey was conducted by evaluating the following areas of women’s lives: employment status, trust and mental health, relationships, physical health and standard of living.

Health and well-being in the world of work

The study points out that 79% of women feel grateful for their work and 67% feel confident in expressing their opinion. However, it is worth noting that 63% of women often feel tense due to the pressure they experience on a daily basis at work.

“You have to keep that in mind well-being is formed by various subjective factors, such as personal relationships and health status.”, Explains Tatiana Sadala, co-founder of the Toda Group, about the positive and negative points that the study shows on the professional life of women.

In the area of work relationships, the study shows that 70% of women say that bosses and colleagues are good for them by keeping their social health up-to-date, while 64% feel part of a group and confident in expressing their opinion with colleagues. However, 50% of them miss having real female leaders around to learn.

“These points of concern need to be investigated by companies, as they compromise a number of things, such as self-confidence and psychological safety at work. From real identifying employee well-being, it becomes much easier for them to develop real solutions, ”explains Viviane Leite, well-being specialist.
