ITA (formerly Alitalia) resumes direct flights between San Paolo and Rome


The replacement of Alitalia plans to operate the route up to five times a week in June and July and every day from August

The Italian flag carrier ITA Airways has confirmed the resumption of the direct route to San Paolo and Rome. From 2 to 12 June, flights will take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. From 13 June to 2 August another flight will be added on Tuesdays. From 3 August onwards, departures will be daily.

In this first moment the aircraft used will be the Airbus A330, which will depart from Sao Paulo at 14:25 and will arrive in Rome at 7:10 the following day. On the way back, the flight takes off from Rome at 10:05 pm and arrives in Sao Paulo at 5:25 am the next day. When the daily route begins in August, some flights will be made with the new Airbus A350, one of the most modern in the world.

In a simulation performed by VT, return tickets in June cost R $ 8,147.91 with fares in the simplest category, which does not include checked baggage and seat selection.
