Almost a speakeasy, the award winner is hidden behind a refrigerator door in a pastrami
The World’s 50 Best Bars award elected Paradiso, in Barcelona, as the best bar in the world in 2022. It is the first time since 2009 that the winner of the award has left the New York-London axis. Run by chef Giacomo Giannotti, the bar is almost a speakeasy: it’s hidden behind the door of a fridge in a pastrami. But rest assured, there are no passwords or VIP lists to access.

The highlight are the drinks – and what drinks! The new menu is inspired by the “evolution of humanity” and features 15 cocktails that are eccentric in flavor and presentation. or Express paradise, served on a train, refers to the industrial revolution and contains vodka, rum, coffee, bananas, wine and sesame seeds. For the best drinks in the world, which start at € 15, be prepared to queue: Paradiso does not accept reservations. The bar is in the neighborhood El Bornnext to Church of Santa Maria do Mar. It is open Monday to Thursday from 17:00 to 2:30, on Fridays and Saturdays from 16:00 to 3:00 and on Sundays from 16:00 to 2:30.
