According to BBC News, firefighters acted quickly to put out the blaze as soon as they found the fire in one of the rooms.
“The homeowner was away and when he returned to find his house filled with smoke. We believe the fire started because a hair dryer was left plugged in and on the bed,” manager Gary Shinn said.
“We think the dog may have jumped onto the bed and turned on the hair dryer, causing the bed and mattress to catch fire.”

Also according to the firefighters, the animal was waiting for the guardian at the door of the house when he arrived. Both were treated for smoke inhalation and are doing well.
“After you’re done using any electrical appliances like hair dryers and curling irons, take a moment to unplug,” Shinn warned.
