Journalist and fashion influencer Mayte Campos has announced in a video on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with cancer while pregnant with her daughter.
The content creator, who uses her social media platform to share fashion advice as a stylist, revealed the medical diagnosis during what she described as one of the most important moments of her life.
Campos explained that she experienced conflicting emotions and an emotional roller coaster after receiving the news, which initially led her to maintain silence. She said she originally intended not to post anything online, but changed her mind after realizing that social media could offer comfort and distraction during a difficult time.

Referring to her health condition, Campos stated that the envious disease had arrived to accompany her during the best moment of her life. She said she decided to share her diagnosis with her followers to help herself and to let anyone facing a similar path know that they are not alone.
The influencer added that opening Instagram while feeling overwhelmed brought her to two videos that temporarily distracted her. She noted that seeing a video of Anabel Pantoja in a bikini even inspired her to imagine buying the garment, providing a brief moment of escape.
Message to followers and unborn daughter
Reflecting on her experience, Campos said pregnancy is often imagined as a perfect stage, but pointed out that it is not always the case. She urged healthy followers with shelter and food to appreciate their lives, stating that they are living a true dream that is often taken for granted.
Addressing her unborn daughter, Campos said their shared dream had taken an unexpected turn and that they must now face their first battle together. She promised her child that she would not let go of her and pledged to fight with all her strength for both of them.
