Millie Mackintosh has shared a hilarious video poking fun at her routine as a single mother following her split from husband Hugo Taylor.

The 37-year-old television personality took to Instagram on Friday to show her followers how her neighbours get "two versions of me" as she adjusts to her new living situation.

Millie Mackintosh has shared a hilarious video of herself in full glamour and putting the bins out as she gets used to life as a single mum following her split from Hugo Taylor

The video clip begins with Mackintosh leaving her home dressed in pyjamas with her hair styled in a messy bun as she carries out the bin recycling. It then jumps to show her fully dressed in a glamorous polka dot minidress as she prepares to head out for the day.

"They definitely get to see the real me," Mackintosh wrote in her caption accompanying the post.

The update comes after Mackintosh moved into a new rental property earlier this month, where she has been working to build what she described as "a whole new life" following the breakdown of her marriage.

Divorce proceedings and family life

Mackintosh and Taylor filed for divorce in February after seven years of marriage. Both parties appointed legal representatives, with sources reporting that the pair are seeking a clean break while maintaining a joint commitment to raising their children.

The former couple share two daughters, six-year-old Sienna and four-year-old Aurelia, and remain focused on co-parenting them following the separation.

Made in Chelsea is a British BAFTA award-winning reality television series that follows the lives of affluent young people in West London. Mackintosh was one of the original cast members when the show first broadcast in 2011.

Four years of sobriety

The lighthearted video post came just one day after Mackintosh celebrated reaching four years of sobriety. She marked the milestone on Instagram by posting a clip featuring a cupcake topped with four lit candles.

In the clip, she included the caption "Isn't it boring being sober...?" before transitioning into a visual montage of nature scenes displayed alongside the phrase "What boring feels like."

Writing in her celebratory anniversary message, Mackintosh addressed the personal impact of her ongoing separation from Taylor. "Recently, going through a big life change has brought a lot from my past to the surface, and I’m learning to sit in the discomfort of my feelings instead of trying to run from them," she wrote.

Reflecting on her decision to stop drinking four years ago, Mackintosh admitted she initially believed her life was over when her previous circumstances fell apart. "Celebrating 4 years sober. I feel so grateful... Honestly, almost lost for words at how thankful I am for this life for the hope, the joy and the beauty that has come from the ashes of what I once thought was my life burning to the ground. Four years ago, I genuinely felt like my life was over..." she stated.

"I knew stopping drinking was the right thing to do, but God, I was scared. I couldn’t see any of the good stuff waiting for me on the other side yet. So what’s kept me on track? My sober community. Honest conversations with friends..." Mackintosh continued.

She outlined the key elements supporting her recovery, citing "building a support team around me", therapy, and daily personal practices. "And the rituals I’ve slowly built into my life meditation, movement, learning to notice how I speak to myself and practising being kinder to myself... I’ve realised sobriety and self-love isn’t a one-and-done thing. It’s something I keep choosing, every day..." she explained.

Mackintosh also shared an honest assessment of her current challenges, acknowledging that coping mechanisms can still manifest. "And I still find ways to escape. Lately I’ve caught myself doom-scrolling when I don’t want to feel something. But awareness is everything. Because once you can see the pattern, you have a chance to choose differently..." she added.

Looking ahead, she expressed confidence in her personal growth despite lacking a fixed trajectory. "I want to keep this real: I absolutely do not have life figured out. I don’t have a life plan or a five-year plan. I don’t know exactly what comes next. But for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m moving out of survival mode and into something new... I’m proud of the woman I’m becoming. I’m proud of the woman who, four years ago, made a terrifying decision without knowing where it would lead her..." she shared.

"And more than anything, I’m so, so thankful she did. Four years sober. And I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. Feel the fear and do it anyway," she concluded.

Relationship timeline and previous marriage

Mackintosh and Taylor shared an on-off relationship spanning roughly 15 years, marked by a prolonged separation in the middle. The couple first dated in 2011 while filming Made in Chelsea, but split later that same year.

They rekindled their romance in 2016 following Mackintosh's divorce from her first husband, the British musician and rapper Professor Green. Mackintosh and Professor Green were married from 2013 until 2016.

Property renovations before split

Prior to their separation announcement in February, Mackintosh and Taylor spent months executing an extensive overhaul of their £5 million family home, frequently posting progress updates to social media.

In April 2025, Mackintosh shared a post reflecting on reaching the one-year mark of the renovation work, describing the process as requiring significant "time, energy and late nights."

"It's wild to think it's been a whole year since we started our renovation… sometimes you get so caught up in the day-to-day that you forget to stop and appreciate just how far you've come," Mackintosh said at the time.

"When I look back to the early days, the plans, the moodboards, the dust (so much dust!), the endless decisions and all the highs and lows that come with a project like this, it honestly feels like a lifetime ago," she recalled.

She noted that despite the challenges, the effort was worthwhile: "It took time, energy, late nights and a lot of patience… but seeing it now, I'm so proud of everything we put into it."

"The best part? We're finally at the stage where it's about the little things. Filling the space with art, books and those pieces you pick up over time that make a house feel like home. There's still plenty I want to do, but it feels really special to pause, look back and soak it all in," she added.
