Former interim president, Alberto Kohn de Penhas, will be responsible for the retailer’s commercial and operational relations
The executive Alberto Kohn de Penhas has assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer of Marisa Lojas. Kohn had been chosen as the company’s interim chairman following the resignation of Adalberto Pereira Santos, the company’s chief executive officer until early February. However, following the election of João Pinheiro Nogueira Batista to the position, the company said it was studying Kohn’s “way of collaborating” with the company.
Now the executive will be responsible for the retailer’s commercial and operational relationships. Kohn has over 30 years of fashion retail experience. He has been an executive in commercial, operations, financial services, marketing, logistics and digital channels in large fashion and textile retail companies, such as C & A, Pernambucanas and Coteminas. For the past three and a half years, he has been Marisa’s VP of Sales, Marketing and Operations.
The board changes come in the midst of another company restructuring. In the same statement announcing the resignations of Santos and Marcelo Adriano Casarin, member of the board of directors, Marisa informed that she had hired BR Partners to assist her in the process of renegotiating her financial debt and Galeazzi Associados to support her in improving the cost structure.
As reported by Stadium/Broadcastthe company’s ongoing restructuring has alienated executives from Marisa and her board of directors.
