Yalitza Aparicio will make a new film, but now as an executive producer
After proving her talent in front of the screen, the 29-year-old will now try her luck behind it.
This was reported by ‘Variety’ magazine, which details that Yalitza Aparicio will make her executive producer debut with the film ‘Bonded’.
The truth is that she will not be the only representative of Latin talent in this production. The company Infinity Hill, which is behind “Argentina 1985”, one of the nominations for the Oscars 2023, will work alongside him.
The Yalitza Aparicio-produced film also features Luis Mandoki (with whom she worked on ‘Presencias’, a film available on ViX+, ViX’s premium streaming service) and will be directed by Mohit Ramchandani.
The cast of “Bonded” will include Diego Calva (who rose to stardom with “Babylon”), Polina Gaitan, Chilean Alfredo Castro and Jason Patrick.

According to “Variety,” the story follows a young Mexican who travels to the United States in search of fulfilling his dream of becoming a soccer star.
However, his ambitions are cut short when, en route to this country, he is captured and forced to work in a laundry for 18 hours a day. Just when everything seemed to be decided for him, one of his companions disappears and the mystery of his whereabouts makes it clear to him that he must escape.
The premise of the film is inspired by a raid on a clothing factory in El Monte (California, United States) in 1955.

The film, which has a thriller tone, will premiere on March 5 at the Mammoth Festival, although it is unknown how it will be screened after the premiere.
