The Good Doctor: Will this important character leave the medical series?

St. Bonaventure Hospital may have to look for a new director. According to the information PuckNewsAmerican Digital Media Hill Harper, who plays Dr. Marcus Andrews in the Good Doctor movie, was planning to run for Michigan state senator.

This political race, of course, can affect the future of the actor of the medical series. The latter should officially announce his candidacy in April. ABC and Sony declined to comment on the rumors, according to TVLine.

Following the release of Good Doctor in 2017, Hill Harper is one of the last three regular cast members to haunt the corridors of St. Bonaventure Hospital from Season 1, along with Freddie Highmore and Richard Schiff, who play Dr. Sean. Murphy and Ph.D. Aaron Glassman.

Before joining the cast of the medical series, Hill Harper became known to the general public for his role as Dr. Sheldon Hawkes in season 9 of CSI: Manhattan.

Currently airing on ABC, Season 6 of Good Doctor remains one of America’s most-watched drama series since The Rookie. A spin-off called The Good Lawyer is also in the works.

Directed by Kennedy McMann (Nancy Drew), this series follows a young lawyer with obsessive-compulsive disorder who uses her differences to work on difficult cases. For this case, he answers to Felicity Huffman, aka Lynette Scavo on Desperate Housewives, who camps with one of the firm’s lawyers.
