Another body was found on Yanomami indigenous land in Roraima. This Saturday, 6, the Federal Police were called after the National Force located a dead woman in the same region where eight other bodies had been found in the last week. The information comes from the newspaper Folha de São Paulo.
According to federal police, the woman had signs of sexual assault. Furthermore, there are indications that she was killed by hanging.
The victim was taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Boa Vista.
The woman has not yet been identified, but, near where she was found, eight bodies were found floating in a river last Sunday night, 30. None of the victims were indigenous. A Federal Police (PF) has dispatched teams of elite groups to contain the escalation of violence in the region.
