Few people know this, but Prime Video released Citadel to make it an international franchise. The platform began filming the parent series with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, while preparing its first two spin-offs, before they even knew if subscribers would be receptive. The first will take us to Italy, and the second to India. And this is precisely the transalpine project that was revealed at the end of episode 6, which was published online yesterday.
Titled Citadel: Diana, it features an all-new team of secret agents. The series is especially performed by Matilda De Angelis, an Italian actress that we see more and more on our screens. She responded to Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant in The Undoing before landing her first role as Lydia in Netflix’s The Law. A change of cut and style for her and France’s Julia Piaton, which we see very briefly in these pictures. Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Thekla Rowten, Daniel Paoloni, Bernhard Schutz and Filippo Nigro complete the green white and red role.
The Citadel Teaser: Diana announces an action-packed series, but in a very different style from the parent series where she played James Bond. It is not yet known what the spin-off will be about or if it will be related to Mason and Nadia. But by all logic, this should happen before the Citadel falls, since virtually every agent has been eliminated by the Manticore.
It is slated to launch in 2024, before Citadel Season 2 arrives.
