The Brazilian defends Riga FC, the team that leads the first division of the European country
Brazilian striker Lucas Rangel, one of the Brazilian survivors of the war in Ukraine, scored his first goal of the season in the duel against Super Nova, which Riga won 5-1. Lucas Rangel played all of the second half of the match. The player celebrated the goal scored and projected the sequence of games.
– Thank God, I managed to score a beautiful goal, I was very happy with the goal and helped my team to win the three points. It’s great to be able to score goals again, it’s a very special feeling. I hope it will be the first of many more this season and I can continue to help Riga in pursuit of their goals,” the player said.
The Brazilian’s team is currently the leader of the first division of Latvia. Riga has 42 points earned: 13 wins, 3 draws and no defeats. The team remains undefeated after 16 games played. Lucas highlighted the team’s good campaign and stressed that there is no room for error.
– We had a very solid championship and thank God we are still unbeaten, there are 13 wins and that is very important. We have no room for error, we learn from last season when we lost the title by one point. So, our goal is always the next game, trying to win every game and add as many points as possible,” he concluded.
