On Thursday, June 22, where it all begins, tragedy struck some students and teachers at the Auguste Armand Institute: while they were taking their end-of-year exams on a train, the carriages derailed and a terrible accident occurred. It’s unfortunate that there are several injured…as well as missing persons. Are they still alive? Doubts now…
Disaster outside the institute
To set up this disaster arc, the teams in the series temporarily left Calvary Castle. All arrived at the site of the famous Cévennes steam train. A special filming location where AlloCiné was invited last April. On the ground, this is where it all begins, the stars told us how excited they were to play in this particular setting.
Vanessa DeMoy (Rose, who will go through difficult times with Antoine) explained to us, for example: “We shoot in an unusual environment at the castle. But even if you’re immersed in something great, eventually you get used to it… so it’s good to get out of that shell, it’s like a little vent. We have the impression that we are participating in another project, even though they are the same characters.”
Some restrictions…
As well as the one who plays her on-screen sister, Elsa Lungini (who gave us the terrible news about Joachim) shares this point of view. Still, he told us, this shoot had some limitations: “This shooting is not always easy. It’s not the most glamorous thing in the world, it’s even a bit complicated.“
“We leave the prison, we shot in a rather narrow place, everyone has to find their place… it’s a bit of a mess, continued Clotilde’s interpreter. We used to finish late and it was very cold and windy. It could have been a bit difficult for the director and for us.”
… but it’s a nice challenge!
Benjamin Duba-Paris (Solal, who will play Rose) also admitted that adaptation was necessary, but it was all part of this very interesting challenge: “There are limitations, but ultimately it’s pretty cool. Yes, it’s stressful, but it’s really exciting! We shoot at night, it can be boring, but in the castle we work during business hours. There, it allows us to work differently, and that’s great.”
The youngster, who also plays in Tropiques Criminals, added:Less quick to pick up and wonder about our acting intentions, special attention is paid to directing actors, and that’s precious. It’s great for us as actors to do a lot of things, shoot elsewhere or do green screen…“
“Adapting new settings”
Same story with Claire Roman who told us:We are limited in the film format because we need more time to set up the scenes. It’s cool because it gives us the opportunity to show more things, have a little more fun, adapt to new settings… I immediately told myself that would be great! We are really lucky.“
Finally, the young woman sees here as an ideal opportunity to make new connections with her partners and get to know Amber better:I did not have the opportunity to shoot at all Nicholas Anselmo and Vanessa DeMoy Because our characters don’t develop in the same circles.“
“We also discover aspects of Amber as she is claustrophobic in this enclosed environment. Being on the brink of death on a train with fire everywhere, I’ve never done that!“And we’ve never seen it start here either! The story continues on TF1, Monday to Friday at 18:30.
