Gabigol has reached yet another expressive milestone with the Flamengo shirt. By scoring the opener in a 2-0 win over Fortaleza, the striker reached his 150th goal and became the eighth top scorer in club history. The number 10 was replaced by Pedro at half-time after spraining his right ankle.
With his 150th goal, Gabigol earned a place in Flamengo history, surpassing Bebeto, who has 149. Furthermore, the striker is only one behind Leônidas da Silva, another Reds idol, who has 151 goals.

Gabigol started his winning career at Flamengo in early 2019. Since then, he has been instrumental in the club’s recent successes, most notably in the 2019 and 2022 Libertadores, when he scored goals in both decisions, against River Plate and Athletico respectively .
In addition to the Libertadores, Gabi has also won with Flamengo: Campeonato Carioca (2019, 2020 and 2021), Campeonato Brasileiro (2019 and 2020), Recopa Sul-Americana (2020), Supercopa do Brasil (2020 and 2021) and Copa do Brasil (2022)).
Flamengo has not yet released information on the severity of the striker’s injury, who will be re-evaluated at Ninho do Urubu. For now, Gabigol is doubtful to face Athletico, next Wednesday (05), at 21:30 (Brasilia time), in Maracanã, for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil.
