If you need a legacy, Sarah Snooki’s Run Rabbit Run casting presence might have been enough to pique your curiosity. The film takes the first place in the top 10 films in just a few days, a performance against Tyler Rake 2 or Through my window 2, which took the same place, is still a bit short. So we have Sarah Snooki playing a single mom – also named Sarah – who is already a bit stressed when we find her. Then a mysterious rabbit arrives on her doorstep, whom her daughter Mia (Lily Latourre) immediately falls in love with. If the child adores it, the mother… not really! And when he tries to get rid of the animal that night, the rabbit bites him on the hand. Vicious rabbit!

When this uninvited carrot eater enters Sarah’s life, things get a little weird. Mia makes the world’s scariest cut-out bunny mask and wears it home. He sees a decades-old photograph of two children hidden in a box and claims it is his. Without warning, Mia starts asking to talk to Joan, aka Sarah’s mother (Greta Skaky), whom she’s never met before.

However, the grandmother immediately recognizes the child: “I’ve been looking for you for so long! Where have you been ?!The old lady also calls the little girl “Alice”, which makes Mia cringe. That’s the name of Sarah’s sister who disappeared when they were both very young. All of this is far from describing the dangerous state of his mental health.

Dayna Reed, a veteran TV director (The Handmaid’s Tale, The Outsider) and Hannah Kent, a screenwriter, have an ending that includes all the nuts and bolts of a psychological horror film: psychological breakdown, bodily injuries, generations of trauma, gruesome drawings of children. , the return of the repressed, and that old refrain that you’re done with the past, but the past isn’t done with you.

However, the rabbit’s place in the film remains a big question mark. What does it symbolize? Is this a harbinger of some evil? What does it have to do with the original sin of the family? Why do rabbits scare us so much?

These questions aside, the film struggles to unsettle us and create a real scare when we care about Mia or Sara and not the rabbit…a sentiment clearly shared by AlloCiné viewers, who rate it 1.8 out of 5. 91 ratings and 23 reviews. Anthology:
