The Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasilia, has also emerged as an option. However, the conditions of the lawn were not liked by the Flamengo management, who opted for Cariacica.

The Maracanã will be closed for the recovery of the lawn immediately after Flamengo’s match against Internacional next Saturday for the Brasileirão. The information was disclosed last Tuesday in an official statement from the administration of the stadium.
