Crowned with the coveted Palme d’Or at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Anatomy of the Fall opens in theaters today. Directed by Justin Triet, who signs his fourth feature after La Bataille de Solférino, Victoria et Sibyl, this thriller has been particularly well received by the French press as it averages 4.4/5 (38 for media).

It’s even the best movie of the summer (beating out last week’s Close Your Eyes ) and the second best movie of the year, behind Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelman and its unstoppable 4.9/5 average.
