According to Laurent Gay (4/5):
“It’s an end-of-prison story where psychosis sets in with completely neurotic protagonists who are overwhelmed by what they’ve just experienced.
A psychological drama, with impeccable photography, very slow motions to instill an anxiety-inducing atmosphere.
This series isn’t for everyone, it doesn’t breathe, making viewers relatively uncomfortable as the episodes progress, but one thing is for sure, this series should stick in your memory if you choose to watch it..”
According to Harry6489 (4/5):
“An excellent German mini-series that keeps the suspense from the first episode to the last. Excellent interpretation of the actors.
Honestly, I found this series really great.
How evil people can affect other people’s lives.
I highly recommend it; It may have been inspired by real events…“
According to Ice&Fire (2.5/5):
“The most classic direction, direction and scenario. I don’t know if it comes from the French dubbing or not, but I find the acting average. And above all, it’s incredibly slow. Perhaps it would have been better in a shorter format, like the feature film The Room, which this series might remind us of..”
why does it work
The crime thriller has always found its audience on Netflix. Dear Baby is no exception to the rule with a disturbing plot that directly relates to the story of Natasha Kampusch. Adapted from the bestseller of the same name, the series seduces subscribers with its sense of suspense and many twists and turns.

According to Lia (5/5):
An excellent adaptation, we clearly find the soul of the manga. The characters are very likable, the story is engaging and the visuals are just great. A mini-series that can be devoured at full speed. A real success!
According to Seb31823 (4.5/5):
This adaptation of One Piece is a success ✨️. I was very afraid that it would be a disaster, I didn’t expect much… but the surprise is good.
We find the energy of the original work, but you have to know how to step away from the manga to appreciate the adaptation… but not much. The actors are believable, the scenes are really nice, the fights/effects are successful.
I think the production was under pressure, adapting One Piece means not failing. They accepted the challenge in return, even if many did not believe it. The manga leanings in the episodes prove that the creators know what they’re talking about.
I don’t have much negative to say. Good vibes
According to Jerome R. (3/5):
Frankly, it’s pretty successful for live action. The plot and tone of the manga are respected (for the most part), the cast, though uneven, does the job except perhaps for Shanks, who is sorely lacking in charisma in this adaptation.
For anime fans who criticize dubbing, watch it in English and your ears won’t hurt anymore. The Japanese version (apparently with the anime’s official voices) doesn’t really do justice to the cast, as for the French version, it’s also very uneven based on the characters.
The decorations are quite successful, the costumes a little less so. Anyway, short of a masterpiece, I can only congratulate you on a result that exceeds the expectations of many.
Anyway, I enjoyed seeing Luffy in his early days. To see if this will result in a sequel.
why does it work
The adaptation of the world’s best-selling manga (500 million copies in circulation) was directed by One Piece author Eiichiro Oda. A mix of adventure and action, comedy and drama, the essence of the original work has been fully preserved in this live-action version!
The Netflix series managed to put an end to the curse that affects live action Hollywood manages to find the perfect actors for Monkey D. For playing Luffy and the Straw Hat crew members.

According to Rubenbonto 44 (4.5/5):
A very good series that is easy to watch, entertaining and well made. He is not shallow and that is greatly appreciated!
According to Clément L. (4/5):
A British series that deviates from the American series (like the excellent Snow series) the plot is not incredible, but it is well done in its realism, despite some flaws (the lack of action by the authorities on the murders, strangely wrong) in its favor. The rise of major players, why not. The pictures are beautiful and well edited, the actors are really very good, well directed.
Tears flow from the eyes, this series plays on emotions. However, if I could make one major criticism, it’s a bit of a mess from the start and it’s very wrong to believe it’s a big positive point going forward in the series, as it lacks a bit of fun and lightness, it’s depressing at times. It’s hard to understand Dušan’s power and authority at first.
According to Hakuo Funkney (3.5/5):
The season would be just as good. A great play with beautiful young actors… will not leave you indifferent.
why does it work
The new English series, a favorite among Netflix subscribers, is back for season 5! Shockingly real and filled with sequences of chilling brutality, the series, sometimes called The British Wire, aired on Channel 4 from 2011 to 2013 before returning for a 3rd season in 2019 as a Netflix original.
Number 4: Virgin River

Melinda Monroe answers an ad to become a nurse practitioner in Virgin River, California, thinking she can put her painful memories behind her. But he discovers that it is not so easy to fit into such a small place and that he needs to heal first.

According to Jj Sternjacob (4.5/5):
It is a very good series with very good actors. In addition, the scenery is magnificent. There’s always something going on and cliffhangers don’t take the decision to sleep easy!
According to JeanD (4/5):
It is new, light without pretense. We don’t invent the blue flower genre to please fans. A series that will make you smile. I liked it very much.
According to Nicolas Backiou (4/5):
Without pretense, this serial plays its role well!! Yeah, we’re not in a series that aims to be a masterpiece. We’re not in a series that’s meant to be on the scale of “Stranger Things” or “Dark,” but it’s working! It’s a fun series, but with much better acting than what we see on Tuesday afternoon TV movies. The stories are fun, there are a lot of twists and turns and it’s honestly very believable at times! A mix of the “medical” series, some drug stories, a lot of love… an original, well-made mix and it works! If you want a “relaxed” series, touching often, with good actors, this is the series for you :).
why does it work
This is the 5th season that has been streamed on Netflix and has brought the series back into the top 10. Suffice it to say, it has a pool of loyal fans who are always ready to follow the adventures of Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge). Virgin River is a romantic drama without any pretensions, but one that hits the mark with its beautiful settings, its twists (not too far-fetched) and its very gentle tone…
Number 5: Consumed by fire

May 2017. The charred remains of police officer Pedro are found in a burnt-out car in the Foix Reservoir in Barcelona. The discovery quickly arouses public interest, especially when the investigation begins to reveal toxic relationships, lies, violence and sex scandals with Pedro and two other police officers: his partner Rosa and the latter’s ex-boyfriend Albert.

According to lia (4/5):
An excellent erotic detective thriller, rich in suspense and twists. Constant tension and rhythmic performance. The whole thing is a joy to follow and the sublime Ursula CORBERO (La Casa de Papel) is very believable. A well done and very entertaining Spanish mini-series.
According to Quent1 Leroy (4/5):
A good Spanish series that could have ended in 4 episodes. The plot is good, but there is a lot of length. Ursula Corbero is as evil as she is beautiful.
According to Laurent Gay (2.5/5):
A story of love, sex, deception against the backdrop of a police thriller. Flawless photography, good actors, good production, but in the end it remains another Télé Nova, very good quality for fans of the genre.
