This Tuesday (12), midfielder Raul returned to training with the Red Bull Bragantino team after eight months away from the pitch. The athlete suffered a serious injury to his left knee and was recovering from surgery. Released by the club’s medical department, the midfielder participated in a technical-tactical training led by Pedro Caixinha.

Raul arrived at Massa Bruta in 2020, after leaving Vasco da Gama. At the time, Toro Loko paid R$1.2 million to have the player permanently. With Bragança Paulista he achieved good numbers, but the performance could have been much better if it were not for frequent injuries.

In total, Raul participated in 89 games, with two goals scored (average of 0.02 per game) and six assists distributed (average of 0.06 per game). In 2023, the midfielder only participated in four matches, scored no goals and provided no assists.

In the final stretch of the Brasileirão, Raul will have the opportunity to wear the colors of Massa Bruta again and will be able to contribute to the team reaching its end-of-season goals. Therefore the athlete improves his physical fitness and should return to the related list soon. The midfielder is not capable of playing 90 minutes, but he must come on throughout the match to gain the rhythm of the game.

Next Thursday (14th), Red Bull Bragantino will host Grêmio, at 9.30pm (Brasilia time), for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship, at the Nabi Abi Chedid stadium, in Bragança Paulista. The duel between Sao Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul should be very balanced, with chances on both sides and plenty of goals.
