Arriving here, it all started a year ago, Billie (Margot Aguilar) entered the Auguste Armani Institute very noticeably. A cheerful, self-confident and energetic young woman has shown several times that she does not keep her tongue in her pocket and has brought great trouble to the management of the famous gastronomic school.
After a year full of twists and turns, Bill is now entering his second year at the institute and now living a beautiful love story with Tom (Tom Darmon). But what does the future hold for him?
Meet Margot Aguilar, his translator, during the La Rochelle Art Festival, Alocine spoke to him about what lies ahead for his character in the coming weeks.
Allocine: It’s been a little over a year since you arrived here and it all starts. How would you describe Billy and what do you like about him?
Margot Aguilar : I like that Bill is not a size 34. It was really cool for me to defend such a character. When we watch TV, we get the impression that the norm is 34-36. I thought it was really cool that this was a character who was beyond a size 40 and who was primarily comfortable. Bill has no complexes and is comfortable in his body.
Billie is a young woman who doesn’t keep her tongue in her pocket. A rebel, she’s also sure of herself, and like you said, she holds herself as she is, conveying very strong messages along the way. Is it important for you to play such a character on screen?
Yes! I understand the impact we can have, especially among young people. So, yes, obviously, I’m very happy to deliver ultra-positive messages about confidence. I think it’s very important and I’m glad to see it as a kind of symbol. I’m not saying that. I get a lot of thank you messages for it, so I’m very happy.
What’s next for Billy in the next few episodes?
We learn a little about Bill’s family. In particular, there is his brother who will come to the institute. At the same time, Billy gets closer to Penelope (Laurence Facelina), who is his godmother.
Billy’s brother will be arriving at the institute soon. Can you tell us a little more about that?
This role will be played by Olivier Kisita. Because he doesn’t like Tom at all, Billy’s brother intervenes in his sister’s life.
To cause tension in the couple?
You will have to watch the series to understand that (laughs).
Are you happy that this is where the writers delve into your character’s past?
Yes. I would love to know, for example, where Billy comes from. who are his parents how are they I wish we had delved deeper into Billy’s intimacy.
You have arrived in the series Emma Boulanois, Samia translator. How did you feel about his departure?
I was just crying. It was slow. With Lucy and Emma, we still made a trio. The three of us arrived here, everything begins. Emma, that was a sight to behold. I was laughing with him, it’s crazy! He is one of the people who make me laugh the most, so it was painful to see him go.
Even if we didn’t see it coming, Billy and Charlene’s friendship worked perfectly on screen. You regret leaving Paula Petrenko ?
It’s always sad to see someone go. It was completely different with Pola. He always feels a little pain in his heart.
Fortunately, Vic (Lou Ladegaller) is still there. A few words about this friendship?
It is true that Billy is often with Tom and Vicki is with Enzo (Aziz Diabate) a lot. Billy and Vic have already been through a lot. It is a friendship that is solid and does not change. They can forgive each other for everything because they love each other so much.
This year, Billy is Penelope’s godfather. While Bill is a young student, Penelope is a thirty-year-old career changer. What do you think they can bring to each other?
Billy and Penelope are very similar. Penelope is a person who does not keep her tongue in her pocket like Billy. They are both hot and cash. Billy can definitely bring peace to Penelope. He will also be a point of reference for him in the institute.
In terms of research, how will Bill do this year?
Billy will have to find a place among the sophomores. It’s a bit in the middle and neither the best nor the worst. So he will try to improve to become one of the best.
Is there a specific character he can befriend this year?
Maybe Leonard (Thomas Villani). Having said that, I admit that this is not planned. I don’t have much information about it, but it is true that from the first scenes there was a real match between Leonard and Billy. It’s a friendship that can develop, but that’s just my opinion.
Do you have any other projects outside of the series that you can tell us about?
I really dedicated myself here it all starts because it was the first year and my first role. It’s such a dense rhythm that I didn’t want to leave room for anyone else. But for the second year, I hope to do something small.
