This is the reboot we didn’t want: This iconic 2000s series could be coming back

I don’t have time, my mind is wandering elsewhere (it was very tempting). If you know the song from this theme song, then you are – or were – probably a fan of the prison TV series Prison Break, which delighted viewers from 2005-2017.

Broadcast on M6, where season 1 was a huge success, the series follows Michael Scofield, a young man who embarks on an almost impossible mission: to save his brother Lincoln from execution. Convinced of his innocence but short on solutions, Michael decides to incarcerate them at the Fox River State Penitentiary in order to arrange their escape…

While we thought the series was safe from a reboot because the last few seasons were garbage (let’s be honest) and the last few attempts didn’t pan out, Hulu/Disney decided to try the prison break adventure again. Deadline It reveals that the platform is currently working on a new version with a brand new cast and a brand new escape.

Enter Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, two former stars of the show. It’s no surprise when we know that the former explained in 2020 that he no longer wanted to hide Scofield’s tattooed skin in order to stay true to his values.

Elgin James, showrunner of Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC, will helm the project. We don’t know much more about this reboot, which is particularly expected at this point. If this new news makes you want to watch Prison Break again, know that the series is available on Disney+.
