A few months ago, during the summer, we offered you a quiz that consisted of finding out which movie title came from the letters of clearly identified typologies. The seven films that are recognizable were all from the 90s.
The quiz started with a large, brightly colored capital A with a gradient from yellow to red. It wasn’t A from Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park, but the final act of a John McTiernan film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He was accompanied by an impressive number of famous guests, often in their own roles, including actors Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chevy Chase and James Belushi, but also stars from the world of music, such as Little Richard or the rapper McHammer.
The next question showed an orange B with very specific typography. Was it Jackie Brown, the hero of Quentin Tarantino’s Boogie Nights, Paul Thomas Anderson’s ensemble film, or the Big Lebowski’s Big Lebowski brother? The answer was not obvious and only 56% of you found the correct answer.
Another question suggested an M with a very peculiar shape with a lower central stripe that extends to a rather dangerous point on a black background. Nothing surprising since we then had to recognize the M in Scream, this typographic feature no doubt echoes the tip of Ghostface’s gun.
Today there are not seven, but ten movie titles for you to find, this time all from the 80s!
