Fluminense defines the proposal of Gabriel Pires, ex Botafogo

In addition to the interest in Gabriel Pires, Fluminense has already signed David Terans, ex Atletico, and Léo Chú, ex Grêmio

Gabriel Pires, who played for Botafogo in 2023 and belongs to Benfica, also emerged as Fluminense’s target of the season. Tricolor will present an annual loan proposal for the player this Friday. Initially the information was given by “ge”.

The midfielder has a contract with the Portuguese club until June 2025 and the idea is to sign a contract similar to that of Botafogo in 2023.

Gabriel made 34 appearances for Alvinegro in 2023, 13 as a starter, and scored two goals. After recovering from a calf injury, he became the team’s starter in the final stretch of the Brasileirão.

More reinforcements sent

In addition to the interest in Gabriel Pires, Fluminense has already signed two other players for the offensive sector. Midfielder David Terans, who played for Atlético, and striker Léo Chú, formerly of Grêmio, are close to an agreement with the Tricolor. In both cases the board will acquire him permanently with a contract, initially, for three seasons.

The Uruguayan midfielder is at Pachuca-MEX and was recently sold to Atletico. The Terans played only 12 games there and is not part of the Mexican club’s plans.

Léo Chú, who is at Seattle Sounders-USA, is plan B after Fluminense gave up on signing Luiz Henrique. The forward has been playing in Major League Soccer since 2021 and has played 75 games, with seven goals scored and 11 assists.
