A man died while carrying out maintenance work on an electricity grid in Passo Fundo. The case occurred in the municipality of Santa Gema, near the border with Ernestina.
The man was carrying out maintenance work on an electrical network inside a silo, at a height of 6 metres, when he suddenly fell ill and died. He was left hanging from the safety equipment.
The victim was an entrepreneur who worked in the electrical maintenance sector.
Experts from the General Institute of Expertise (PGI) intervened on site and confirmed that the cause of death was natural. The man was identified as Hilário Alves de Vargas, resident in the Jardim América neighborhood, in Passo Fundo.
The Passo Fundo firefighters were called to remove the body from where it was hanging.
