Giovanni, Paolo, Giorgio and Ringo. You can say these names anywhere in the world and people will know what it is. And nothing less. The Beatles are considered by many to be the greatest band of all time.
Now, the members’ stories will be told in a film by director Sam Mendes, an Oscar winner for “American Beauty” (1999). And his idea is to tell 4 versions of the same story, a feature film for each.
The information was published for the first time by the foreign site expiration and confirmed shortly afterwards by Mendes himself. In a statement, he expressed his joy at being able to realize the project:
“I am honored to tell the story of the greatest rock band of all time and excited to challenge the concept of what constitutes a trip to the movies.”
The four feature films will be produced by Sony Pictures. The studio intends to release all 4 films in the same year, 2027. With a certain amount of mystery, Sony has promised to provide an “innovative and revolutionary” release strategy.
An unprecedented initiative
This is all the information at the moment. It is not yet known who will play the music legends or who will write the screenplay.
