Apple TV + has released the poster and trailer for “Surface”, a thriller series starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“The Morning Show”) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (“The Invisible Man”).
Created by Veronica West (“High Fidelity”), the plot revolves around a woman (Mbatha-Raw) who has lost her memory after an alleged suicide attempt. However, seeking therapeutic help and support from her friends to recover her memories, she begins to wonder if her life was as perfect as everyone says. And if she really was, why would she try to kill herself? Until interrogation makes her consider that her apparent suicide attempt may have been an attempted murder, putting her husband (Jackson-Cohen) as her prime suspect.
The cast also includes Stephan James (“If Beale Street Could Talk”), Ari Graynor (“I’m Dying Here”), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (“Secrets and Lies”), François Arnaud (“I Killed My Mother”) and Millie Brady (“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”).
The series will have eight episodes released weekly on Apple TV + starting July 29.
