This is Netflix’s next comedy: the first photo of Vincent Cassel as DJ opposite Mr. V and Laura Phelps.

After the series Liaison on Apple TV+, Vincent Cassel will work on another streaming platform. The actor, who recently appeared in The Three Musketeers, will helm a new French comedy for Netflix.

Presented as a comedy thriller based on The Hollywood ReporterThis currently untitled film is directed by graphic designer and music video director Bertrand Lagros de Langeron, aka So Me, of the Ed Banger Records label.

In this new feature film for Netflix, which has just begun filming, Vincent Cassel plays Scorpex, a struggling DJ who finally gets a chance to come back to the fore when a DGSI intelligence agent, played by Laura Felpin, takes him in.

its purpose? Take down and arrest Vestax (Mr. V), a young DJ booming in the EDM scene who is none other than Scorpex’s rival, who thinks he can reclaim his place and destroy his opponent.

The rest of the cast includes Alexis Manenti, Deborah Lukumuena, Nina Zemm, Nicolas More, Philippe Caterin, Kavinsky, Paul Mirabelle, Panayiotis Pascoe, Manu Payet and Alice Mothier.

Netflix shared an on-set photo on social media where we see the three main actors posing in front of a mixing desk in a music studio. The film, which is being produced by Iconoclast (already behind Romain Gavra’s Athena), has no release date yet.

Before we discover this film, Vincent Cassel will soon be replaced by Samuel L. We will be seen with Jackson in “Damaged” but also in “Shrouds”, David Cronenberg’s new feature film.
