Felipe Martins lives in the city of Bauru and dreams of the club’s access to the Paulistão elite
Felipe Martins, a boy who celebrated his sixth birthday on Thursday (21st), organized his party with the theme of his favorite team, Noroeste, from Sao Paulo. In addition to the cake, balloons and decorations, the child won a specific gift.
The Noroeste players were present at Felipe’s birthday. Goalkeepers Reynaldo, Luís Cetin and Tales Leonardo, defender Luizão, as well as coach Moisés Egert and members of the technical committee gave this gift to the boy.
– When he arrived and saw everything we had accomplished, he was ecstatic, very happy and excited. When he saw the players, he started jumping for joy, as did the guests who loved him and took the opportunity to take that selfie and get autographs,” said his mother, Camila Martins Peres, in an interview with GE.
Felipe’s family shares a great love for Norusca, as the team is affectionately known by fans. Originally from Bauru, in the hinterland of São Paulo, the family closely follows the boy’s passion for football and is keen to keep the tradition alive.
– He has always been passionate about football. We are from Bauru, our passion for the club increased when his uncle started taking him to matches. He is passionate and supports only Noroeste – says his mother.
Felipe’s uncle, Bruno Ochoa, is the club’s goalkeeping coach and was responsible for organizing the surprise. According to the mother, the invitation was made to the players without pretensions and until the party they didn’t know if it would be accepted.
– We invited them, but we weren’t sure they would go. When they arrived, it was magical for Felipe. He loved everything, every detail. He said it was a dream come true, that he had never been to or seen a party like this. For him it was like winning a title – says his mother.
Felipe hopes his request will be granted again, now with the club’s title in Serie A2 of the Campeonato Paulista, and a return to the state’s footballing elite.
After the 1-1 draw in the first match of the quarter-finals against São Bento, the team will travel to Sorocaba for the decisive duel this Wednesday (27th), at 7.30pm. However, if it depends on the trust of the little fan, the concern is different.
– He just talks about it and can’t wait to toast the next glass. You want to go to the final and this regardless of whether she is in Bauru or not, and we will definitely be there-says her mother.
