Hortense has a series of disappointments
At the institute, Vicky is still trying to convince Mehdi to react to Anthony, whom she urges to get involved in Hortense’s life to win her back. However, Mehdi refuses to repeat the scene of jealousy with his wife.
The latter joins them at the park to show Vic a thank you note the hospital received after distributing chocolate eggs to sick children. This forces Hortense to continue to honor her father, but she has no idea. Mehdi offers to do something he has never done before. Hortense and Vicky then remember that their father promised to teach them how to fly a kite and that he didn’t keep his promise. Mehdi volunteers to teach them. Enthusiastically, Hortense arranges their session for the afternoon.
Hortense then goes to the atelier where she meets Clotilda. The chef reminds him that they had planned a tasting in the afternoon. Surprised, Hortense still claims that she can do it as planned. He therefore addresses his brigade to warn them that he will be away for several hours in the afternoon. If Maya thinks they are not ready, Malik promises his boss that they will make it.
A little later, Clotilde calls Mehdi about Hortense. Indeed, Clotilda judges that he must rest. Mehdi, on the other hand, thinks that his wife should work to avoid work. However, Clotilde warns her that she will not hesitate to withdraw her wedding menu from Hortense if she notices that the tasting is not up to standard.
At the beach, Hortense and Vic are trying to figure out how to fly a kite when Anthony joins them – at Hortense’s invitation. Knowing that the Rochemont sisters will have something to say about the man who will replace their father at the helm of his clinic, he questions them on the subject. Vicki interrupts this conversation.
Meanwhile, Mehdi goes to the workshop, where Hortense’s gang, in a panic, asks him to come help them. Knowing the challenges that await his wife if the tasting is not up to standard, Mehdi decides to take the reins of the brigade. He leaves with a crocmbush.
Hortense, on the other hand, is tired of waiting for her husband, who will once again disappoint her at an important moment. But Anthony is there to comfort her. While Vicky texts the unresponsive Mehdi, Hortense approaches her ex and flies a kite with him.
When she returns to the atelier, Hortense finds that Mehdi has just finished a tasting with Clotilda and Joachim. They are very happy with Croquembush. They congratulate Hortense on her husband’s request and promise not to tell Teyssier.
After the bride and groom leave, Hortense accuses Mehdi of wanting to show off. The latter excuses himself by saying that his dessert was not up to standard and ensured that he was not kicked out of the wedding brigade by Clotilda. But Hortense doesn’t want to hear anything. She calls him selfish and compares him to Anthony, who was always there for him after his father’s death. Painful, Mehdi leaves her alone…
