“It is absolutely irresponsible for a person to encourage lies. He must prove it. Anyone who wants to file a serious complaint doesn’t go on podcasts to file a complaint, he goes to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, presents his evidence. It’s in the interest of all of us, you know? So it’s irresponsible, this gentleman is a braggart,” Leila said in an interview with the channel CazeTVshortly before the start of the Campeonato Paulista final.

The Palmeiras president went further and said she hopes Textor will be punished if he does not prove his accusations.

“This man should be banned from Brazilian football. He talks a lot about artificial intelligence, he should give less value to artificial intelligence and more to emotional intelligence, which he has absolutely none,” he said.

Leila added that she is waiting for the authorities to act and that Palmeiras has already done its part. The club filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) against Textor.
