Actress Kim Cattrall, best known for her role as Samantha Jones in “Sex And The City,” will star in “Glamourous,” a new LGBTQIA + comedy series on Netflix.
She will play a veteran supermodel who owns a cosmetics line and mentor a young gay man who defies gender expectations. Madolyn, Cattrall’s character, will see young Marco’s talent as an opportunity to improve her business while he sees her life take off working with her. With this Marco will understand the meaning of his life and his choices.
Artist Miss Benny, singer, actress and YouTuber, will play the role of Marco. She appeared on “Fuller House” as the first gay character in the series.
The series was originally developed in 2019 for the American network The CW and by then she would play Miss Benny, with Brooke Shields playing Madolyn. But the pilot was not approved.
The Netflix production also includes Zane Phillips (“Fire Island”), Jade Payton (“Dynasty”), Michael Hsu Rosen (“The Price of Perfection”), Ayesha Harris (“Daisy Jones and the Six”) and Graham Parkhurst (“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds “).
With her busy schedule, Kim Cattrall is currently also cast in “Queer As Folk” and – as a narrator – in “How I Met Your Father”.
