Nole will play the third match on the Philippe Chatrier Central Court around 10.30 in Brasilia against the Spaniard Roberto Baena, 63rd ranked. It will be the third duel between them. Djokovic leads 2-0 in both hardcourt matches, the latest at last year’s Australian Open.
The on-court program will open with Aryna Sabalenka, world number two, against Japanese qualifier Moyuka Uchijima, who boasts 19 consecutive victories, starting at 7 am. Next up is Elina Svitolina against Frenchwoman Dianne Parry.
The tournament is broadcast on ESPN 2 and streamed on Star Plus.
