Last week, in episode 4 of Miss Marvel, Kamala Khan traveled to Karachi, Pakistan to visit family, but also explored her great-grandmother Aisha’s past, where she came from. . Once there, the young woman meets a young man named Kimo (Kareem for short), a superhero from the Red Daggers vigilante group.
If she doesn’t have Kamala-like cosmic powers, Kimo, on the other hand, is an expert in close combat, specializing in the use of knives and other daggers. The youngster was also able to show off his abilities during a friendly duel that he pitted against Miss Marvel during their first encounter.
On a personal level, Kimo quickly grows close to Kamala, to the point of suggesting a potential idyll between the two characters (though Kamala is also not immune to Kamran’s charms). It can be said that Red Dagger can really be talked about again in the next two episodes of the series (Miss Marvel was created as a mini-series of barely six episodes to introduce the character for the movie Marvels, the sequel. Captain Marvel).
Like Kamala Khan, Red Dagger was created by G. Willow Wilson and Mirka Andolfo. Appearing in Marvel comics since 2016, the latter is portrayed in the series by American actor Aramis Knight (The Ender Strategy). An ally of Ms. Marvel, the latter is similar to the latter as a fledgling superhero who will now have to take on the legacy left by her mentor Walid, who was killed in episode 4 by Namja’s henchmen.
