The former striker attends an event in Rio de Janeiro to mark 30 years since Brazil won the ’94 World Cup
Members of the Tetra-winning team met on Friday night to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their conquest, at a restaurant in Barra da Tijuca, in the western zone of Rio. Former striker Bebeto, for example, complained that the CBF had not organized an event to celebrate the tetra. The entity’s “lack of affection” for the generation was shared by other world champions.

“It’s hard for us to even talk. Today here, Outback opened its doors to us, it opened its doors. The person who should have done it was CBF. On our 25th anniversary, we had a beautiful party, at Granja Comary. CBF didn’t open its doors, but Outback opened and we are very happy about it. Let’s enjoy this moment. It’s sad for us to talk about how the Brazilian Football Confederation didn’t even organize a party to remember us,” Bebeto said.
Romário, in fact, revealed that he spoke with the president of the CBF during an event. According to Baixinho, the conversation did not evolve.
“I also spoke with President Ednaldo about the thirtieth birthday celebration, but in the end it didn’t go ahead. However, we are here together, having fun and remembering various things. What matters is what is happening,” he said.
The event included a screen with moments from the games of that campaign. In addition to them, the big names of that feat were also present, such as Branco, Mauro Silva, Ricardo Rocha, Cafu, Marcio Santos, Zinho, Mazinho and even the coach Parreira.
