“Better Call Saul”: Bob Odenkirk says he doesn’t remember recording the episode

Actor Bob Odenkirk suffered a heart attack while filming the final season of “Better Call Saul”, and has now revealed that he has no recollection of filming the ninth episode of the series.

Odenkirk plays “Better Call Saul” star Saul Goodman, the spin-off of the worldwide hit “Breaking Bad”, and now reflects on the extraordinary event during filming, which left fans worried about the actor’s health and nearly caused an end to the acclaimed series.

“Next week is the scene where I have a heart attack,” Odenkirk told The Hollywood Reporter. “And probably about three-quarters of the scene was shot before I had the heart attack, on the day of the heart attack, and then the other quarter of the scene was after.”

Despite the fright, Bob Odenkirk says he feels “very good” about his health and has talked more about the fright of having a heart attack. “I’m in great shape. I will train now. I haven’t been back to filming for five weeks. I had a five week break to recover. And then when I came back, we limited shooting to 12 hours a day … And then they took care of me and I was able to, and I hope you can’t tell when I had a heart attack and when Not. I did it.”

Another revelation from Odenkirk, which he calls the “weirdest” part, is that he lost “practically about a week and a half” of memory after his heart attack. With that, he says he doesn’t remember recording the ninth episode, which will premiere on Brazilian Netflix next Tuesday.

The Emmy Awards recently released the list of nominees for this year’s awards, and Odenkirk received his fifth nomination for “Better Call Saul”. The series was also nominated for Best Drama Series.

“Better Call Saul” receives weekly episodes in Brazil on Netflix, also on Tuesdays. The last season has 12 episodes and the last one will arrive here on August 9th.
