Paul Schraderscreenwriter of Taxi Driver (1976), one of the inspirations for Joker: Delirium for Twocouldn’t bear to watch more than 25 minutes of the film starring Joaquin Phoenix (Napoleon) and Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born).

“I saw Joker: Delirium for Two. I saw about 10 or 15 minutes of it. I went out, bought something, came back, watched another 10 minutes. That was enough”he stated in an interview with the magazine Interview.

In conversation, Schrader highlighted his aversion to the performances of phoenix and Gaga in the news: “I don’t like any of these people. I don’t like them as actors. I don’t like them as characters. I don’t like all of this. I mean, these are people who, if they came to your house, you would walk out the back door.”he added.

In Joker: Delirium for Twowhich is a musical, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) is admitted to Arkham Sanitarium while awaiting trial for his crimes such as Joker. Among the new features, Lady Gaga is the main addition, but it also gains the company of Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jacob Lofland (A Son), Catherine Keener (Run!), Ken Leung (Lost) and Harry Lawtey (The Pale Blue Eye).
