Tonight on Netflix: These Are the Worst Dads in Movies!

Sometimes being a father is hard. But when the slightly lost dads show up, and they’re totally fantastic, it gives way to Bad Dads 2, in which Mel Gibson and John Lithgow come to turn the lives of their children-turned-parents upside down. And the movie is currently a hit on Netflix!

All four play fathers

In the first film, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell) fought to share custody of their two children, the former being the biological father and the latter being the stepfather. Just as they begin to find their balance, their fathers arrive for Christmas and show them all the colors.

Mel Gibson plays Kurt, Wahlberg’s character’s father, a fighter and astronaut whose military background is very invasive, while John Lithgow plays Don, too nice not to hide something, and Ferrell’s character’s father.

Among the most watched movies on Netflix

These four actors act earnestly and entertain, certainly without ambition, but are quite unstoppable. Very Bad Dads 2 doesn’t forget to dig a little through the brains and misunderstandings, starting with the intrigues of little Dylan, who experiences his first great love, but also, of course, the unspoken and buried resentment of Dusty over the years towards his father and his father. Brad discovers his father’s secret.

Released direct-to-DVD in France in 2018, it’s no surprise that Very Bad Dads 2, set during the holiday season, is increasingly being watched on Netflix as 2024 draws to a close. It is currently in the 7th position among the most watched movies on the platform.
