Gravity at the bottom of the sea? Here are the first images of the upcoming movie inspired by a true story!

If you are afraid of the bottom of the sea, last breath should not help you. at all. Especially when you learn that Alex Parkinson’s film is inspired by a real story: a diver stranded at the bottom of the North Sea with only five minutes of oxygen to survive.

An event that took place in 2012 that spawned a documentary seven years later: Survivor in the Abyss, co-directed by Richard da Costa and… Alex Parkinson. Who takes this story once again to make a fictional film, in which Chris Lemons, the main character, is played by Finn Cole, the star of Peaky Blinders and Animal Kingdom, who can be seen in versions of Fast & Furious 9 as a young John Cena.

The actor will be joined by Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) and Cliff Martinez in this story, reminiscent of a nautical version of Gravity. If the trailer is to be believed, back and forth between the surface and the seabed to show us different aspects of this a priori impossible mission, the outcome of which we know beforehand was happy.

There is no release date in France yet

So will it be easy to hold your breath in front of this film, which does not yet have a release date in France? It’s a good question. Because the trailer is already likely to induce several sessions of apnea among the viewers, so we can only imagine what it will be like when they are locked inside the cinema. In the dark, as well as Chris Lemons in certain shots.

Last Breath probably won’t be as conceptual as Buried, Phone Game or The Guilty, other thrillers that never took their eyes off the main character. But it has everything to fascinate, with its plot taken from a true story and tormenting few people by confronting one of their fears. So we just have to wait for the release date in our theaters, which is expected on February 28 in the United States.
