The bad side of returning to Instagram
Despite getting the account back with Disney’s help, Naomi Ackie revealed the negative side of this story. She comments:
In the end, I realized that I was dragging the screen down too much, comparing myself to other people. I became envious, sad and depressed. I started posting things on my page that were meant to get attention. I tried to be funny in stories or I tried to be sexy. Then I thought, ‘what the f*ck, this isn’t working and I don’t feel good about it’. I realized it was time to put an end to it.”
Naomi Ackie’s colleague was the victim of racist attacks

I think what bothers me is this kind of feeling I have inside me. This feeling that no one told me about, but that I simply have to shut up and accept. I have to bury him. And I wasn’t made to be like this. So I guess I just wanted to come here and thank the people who support me in the comments and in the places where I’m not going to put myself. And to the rest of you, you are all strangers.”
