Enterocolitis itself is not that rare, thinking about children . The big problem is that it’s much more prevalent in premature babies, and it’s rare in full-term babies, as in Ravi’s case.”
According to the doctor, enterocolitis can be viral, bacterial or allergic, as is probably the case with Ravi. To confirm the suspicion of a food allergy, the boy fasted for 10 days, using only serum and medications, and that’s when the family started to see his tests improve.
But Viih Tube explained that only when the child is 18 months old can new tests be carried out to confirm the suspicions. “A milk protein test, an egg protein test, when he starts to eat, for example. Because I also ate a lot of eggs while I was breastfeeding,” she said.
