More than a year after the broadcast of the first part in December 2023, Florence Pernel and Jean-Baptiste Shelmerdin are back in action this Saturday, January 4, for a new episode of Enquête Parallèle.
In this new opus, titled “Almost Perfect Crime,” viewers will be able to find Freddy, a former war reporter turned local news reporter, and Manu, his loyal cameraman, in a new investigation.
Jacques is a desperate iron worker after his wife Fanny left him and he can no longer see his son. When she is about to commit suicide, Freddie saves her life. But the next day, the journalist learns that Jacques is accused of murdering his wife. Did Fred save the killer? Is he responsible for Fan’s death?
Convinced that Jacques is innocent, despite his accusation by the judge, Freddy leads the investigation at the ironworks, assisted by Manu, his operator, and Thomas, the head of the gendarmerie. But everything leads us to believe that Jacques is guilty…
So the question is: Is there such a thing as a perfect crime? Freddie refuses to believe this and will fight to uncover the truth. The truth is more cruel than he imagined.
Will there be a third episode?
When it aired in December 2023, the first episode of Enquête Parallèle managed to attract 4.53 million viewers on France 3, making it the number one audience for that evening.
Faced with this great success, the channel decided to order not one, but two new episodes. The first, “Almost Perfect Crime,” airs Saturday night, and the second is coming up very soon.
It was actually filmed last August in Lyon and in the Rhône department. Florence Pernell and Jean-Baptiste Shelmerdin will reprise their roles.
While you wait to discover this third episode of Parallel Investigation, you can find the second opus this Saturday, January 4 at 9:05 pm on France 3.
