Actor Chukwudi Iwuji (of “The Peacemaker”) attended Comic-Con 2022 wearing the uniform and makeup of his character in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”.
In the film written and directed by James Gunn, he will play The High Evolutionary.
In the Marvel comics, the character is a genetic scientist who, through experiments, created a new race called the New Men and, evolving, travels into space to give birth to a new civilization, on a planet called Counter-Earth. In one of his stories about him, he appears in possession of one of the Infinity Stones, the Soul Stone, and gives it to Adam Warlock, who will be played by Will Poulter (“Maze Runner”) in the film.
A curious detail is that the High Evolutionary is also linked to the origins of Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Jessica Drew (the first Spider-Woman).
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” will be released in Brazilian theaters on April 27, 2023, a week before its US release.
