The Ferrari pilot uses the pole and leaves Verstappen behind, which still loses the second position in Pasters
Lewis Hamilton AND Ferrari won their first sprint race a Formula 1. He was inside China GPat dawn on Saturday. The epitacal world champion took advantage of the pole won on Friday and did not give Max Verstappenfrom the Red Bullapproach. The Dutchman was increasingly distant and still lost second place McLaren From Oscar Pisters.
This was also the first victory of Hamilton from the Belgium GP in July 2024. At the time George Russell had been the winner, but was disqualified by the weight of his Mercedes below the minimum.
Hamilton went well, protecting himself from Verstappen. The eptachampion had only his second pole in the sprint races and sought his first victory. The Australian, however, has still managed to recover in the race. With three laps to go in the end, and even closer to Verstappen, the pilot left the Dutch behind it and took second place. Who thanked him was Hamilton, who took even more distance in his head.
Even complaining, Norris got a good pass for Lance’s walk and took the eighth position, earning a point.
Towards the end, Verstappen still felt the pressure of George Russell, who has almost sought third place. The Mercedes pilot, however, was unable to advance the Dutch.
Sainz leaves and Bortoleto begin consistent, but decay
Even further back, Carlos Sainz Jr. has lost positions with his Williams. The pilot was the last and was called to the pits on the 12th round to leave the race.
Gabriel Bortoleto, who had managed to stop in front of his saubermate, Nico Hülkenberg, re -emerged a 2024 Formula 2 duel against the French Isack Hadjar of RB. The Brazilian was even consistent to defend the 14th position, but could not maintain the rhythm.
Hadjar himself passed him, followed by Pierre Gasly from Alpine. The two played in good dispute. Red Bull’s Liam Lawson also managed to overcome Bortoleto, who was finishing in 17.
At the end of the race, Bortoleto had his Sauber hit by an attack by Jack Doohan from Alpine. The two had already confirmed that they would not have contested points, but the Australian decided to move on the Brazilian, who had 18th.
The China GP continues with the classification of the main race at 4 in the morning (Brasilia) on Saturday. Finally, on Sunday, the pilots compete for the China GP, even at 4 in the morning.
