Actor Antonio Fagundes will return to being God. He has set his return to the role in the sequel to “Deus É Brasileiro” (2003), by Cacá Diegues.
The director will also be back behind the camera in the sequel, which received the title “God Still Is Brazilian”.
Filming will begin in November in the Northeast, but there is no information on the return of other original cast members. The 2003 film was one of the first with Wagner Moura.
With the casting, Fagundes gives up waiting for “Segundas Intentions”, a soap opera that was supposed to take place on HBO Max, but which has been indefinitely paralyzed by the platform’s international leadership. She was supposed to play one of the main characters in the production.
Fagundes will also be in the Culture TV series “200 Years”, in the role of Dom João VI.
