THE Smashing Pumpkins launched the smoothie “OG Goth Smoothie” in partnership with the supermarket chain Erewhon. The limited-edition product is available for purchase until November 8th, in time for Halloween.
Erewhon has gained notoriety in recent years for its celebrity collaborations on custom smoothies. THE “Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie” of Hailey Bieber became a viral phenomenon, drawing fans and skeptics alike online to try the celebrity-endorsed drink. The strategy of partnerships with personalities has consolidated the brand as a reference in premium well-being products.
The special drink Smashing Pumpkins is described as a “creamy, chocolatey, nutty concoction, reminiscent of your favorite chocolate candies (no scares!).” The retail price is US$19.79, in reference to the single “1979” from the classic album Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness. The smoothie is available in all branches of Erewhon. The value in Reais would be approximately R$100.
Ingredients include MALK Organic Almond Milk, GT’s Alive Cola, Cocoyo Cacao Coconut Yogurt, Eidon Ionic Minerals Liquid Electrolytes, Coconut Water, Erewhon Chocolate Ganache, Black Sesame Butter, Peanut Butter, Banana, Avocado, Dates, Chia, Maple Syrup, blue spirulina, chlorella, cocoa powder, lucuma, beetroot juice and lion’s mane. All organic. The combination results in a nutrient-rich drink with a focus on functional well-being.

The band announced that a portion of sales proceeds will be donated to the Concussion Legacy Foundation. The nonprofit organization supports athletes, military veterans and others affected by the long-term effects of concussions and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). The vocalist Billy Corgan is a member of the foundation’s national advisory board.
The initiative coincides with the release of the 30th anniversary deluxe reissue of Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness in November. The Super Deluxe package includes 6 LPs with over 80 minutes of unreleased audio from the 1996 tour, book with notes Billy Corganset of personalized tarot cards and seven frameable lithographs. The edition costs £398.00 and includes a signed lithograph.
