Does magic allow you to avoid all mistakes? Not necessary when you shoot fast and don’t pay attention to all the details! For example, look at Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: the film clearly contains omissions that slightly disrupt the wizarding myth. Fortunately for the camera crew, it’s hard to see with the naked eye.
We do not leave the cape in the corner
This oblivion occurs when young Harry discovers the Mirror of Erised at Hogwarts, a magical object capable of revealing to those who gaze upon it their deepest desires. Obviously, in Harry’s case, it’s his parents, James and Lily. Fascinated, Harry returns to the Gryffindor dorms to wake his friend Ron and tell him of his discovery.

He hides his companion – still in his pajamas – under an invisibility cloak and together they go upstairs to see the object. But when they walk through the door in real life, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Rupert Grint (Ron) drop the green cloth that covers them and is used by the special effects team to visually create an invisibility cloak in the frame at their feet!
You have to pause the movie at 1:33!
Pressing pause at exactly 1 hour 33 minutes and 55 seconds, we can see this “green cape” as the two guys continue the scene as if nothing happened! A mistake that could (should?) have been avoided if the filming, editing and special effects teams had paid attention to it.

If he is a movie lover, as he was able to prove with the second film of the saga “Chamber of Secrets”, the director Chris Columbus was afraid of being fired every minute of filming, maybe in a careless moment he left a green canvas on the ground without noticing that it was in the frame, thinking that it was hidden behind the wall. And that’s how the magic can disappear in an instant!
