The book on which it is based “Between life and death”

The film with Joey King, Robbie Brenner and Andrew Deane is based on the teen romance novel “The In Between” (2022) written by screenwriter Marc Klein.

On February 12, 2022, the author told The Wrap that the idea for the book was born as a manuscript of about 100 pages, very similar to a movie script, albeit with a definite novel story. It was the first writing given to actress Joey King and she decided to be part of the producers of the film adaptation.
