Following a short teaser released last July, Jack Mimoon and Val Verde’s secrets are revealed in a longer trailer that promises a crazy Jumanji-esque film. The feature film will be released on October 12.
After last March’s Sonic 2 (2.2 million attendance), in which he voiced the blue hedgehog, Malik Bentalha returns to the cinema in Jack Mimoon! On October 12, the actor and comedian will present his first full-length film, made with Ludovic Colbo-Justin and with Tristan Schulman and Florent Bernard.
Jack Mimoun and the Secrets of Val Verde is an adventure comedy and strip film in which three men and women travel to exotic countries.
So Bentalha plays Jack Mimun, who becomes an adventure star two years after surviving alone on the hostile island of Val Verde. A book about his experiences is a bestseller and his TV show is breaking audience records. He is then approached by the mysterious Orel Diaz, who brings Jack Mimoun back to Val Verde to train him in search of the legendary sword of the pirate La Bouze.
Accompanied by Bruno Kezak, Jack’s ambitious but reckless manager, and Jean-Marc Bastos, a mercenary, our adventurers will embark on an incredible treasure hunt in the jungles of the Thousand Islands.
Between Indiana Jones and Jumanji
These new images promise a completely crazy adventure comedy in the company of this strange character, a kind of failed Indiana Jones. The adventures of this small army in the jungle are also echoed in the films Jumanji and Jungle Cruise with Dwayne Johnson.

Beyond the obvious reference to the Indiana Jones saga in Jack Mimoon’s costume, the film also hides 58 minutes of life.
This cult film with Bruce Willis mentions the Latin American country of Val Verde, which was supposedly under the dictatorial regime of General Esperanza. But this is a completely fictitious situation, a figment of Joel Silver’s imagination. This name appears in two other action films he made in the 1980s: Commando (1985) and Predator (1987).
